3750748 - Severe error(s) occurred in phase MOD_SELROADMAP/BEGIN! due to missing environment variables in SUM

Symptom

Due to missing environment variables, SUM fails with errors related to the environment.

An example:

EXECUTING /usr/sap/SID/SUM/abap/bin/SAPuptool execdb ../var/HDB_GET_USER_NAME.TQL
Logging to '/usr/sap/SUD/SUM/abap/log/HDB_GET_USER_NAME.LOG'
1EETQ008 Error message: DBSL_CMD_DBCA_PTR_GET failed
1EETQ009Xdbrc = 20: 'shared library could not be loaded'
1EETQ003 exit code: "20"

Other, similar error may also occur.

Verifying the environment using the command

/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saphostexec -userenv <sid>adm

displays errors such as:
