3750888 - Different Connection Creation Window for SAP Cloud Application Live Connection Across SAC Tenants

• Tenant behavior differs during creation of a new SAP Cloud application live connection, even though both tenants are on the same version.
• On the DEV tenant, creating the live connection does not work as expected.
• On the other tenant, creating the same live connection works as expected under identical version and configuration.
• No specific error messages or error codes were provided.

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.2.16 

1. Log in to SAC;
2. Go to Connection;
3. Try to create a live connection to SAP Cloud Application;
4. Not that in the DEV tenant, it appears as below:

5. While, in the other tenant, when repeating the same steps, the follow connection window appear:

The behavior occurs because the SAC tenant does not have a supported license type assigned for SAP Cloud Application Live connectivity. The affected tenant only has Concurrent BI User licenses configured, while live connection creation requires at least one of the following license types to be assigned with a value greater than 0:

• Standard User
• BI User
• Professional User (Planning Professional)

As a result, the SAP Cloud Application Live connection option is not enabled in the tenant.

Assign at least one supported license type (Standard User, BI User, or Professional User) in the SAC tenant.

After the supported license is assigned, the SAP Cloud Application Live connection option becomes available and the expected connection creation window is displayed.
