Symptom

  • In the latest people profile compensation information, after changing a pay component amount or percentage, the “previously” value does not display inline.
  • In legacy people profile, changes to pay component or effective start date were highlighted and previous values were visible.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to People Profile > Compensation Information in the latest people profile.
  2. Edit a pay component for an effective-dated record, change the amount or percentage, and save.
  3. Open Compensation Information history and select the impacted record.
  4. Observe that only the current value is shown; the previous amount/percentage is not displayed inline.

Cause

  • System-expected behavior (1H 2026): in the latest people profile, Compensation Information history displays only the current value per effective-dated record.
  • Previous amounts/percentages are not shown inline, unlike legacy people profile; prior values must be checked via earlier effective-dated records or reporting.

Resolution

  1. Note that the inline display of the previous amount/percentage for pay component changes is not available in the latest people profile by design.
  2. To view earlier values, open the previous effective-dated record in Compensation Information history.
  3. Alternatively, use reporting to retrieve historical pay component amounts/percentages.
