Symptom
Registration status shows more enrolled than the maximum enrolments; for example, 27 out of 22 enrolled while users remain on the waitlist
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Log in to the Learning administration console.
- Open the menu and navigate to Learning Activities > Classes.
- Search for the relevant class by the id.
- Open the Details tab and scroll to Custom Fields to confirm Min and Maximum Enrolments values.
- Review Registration status and observe that the enrolled count exceeds the maximum while users remain on the waitlist.
Cause
An edge case occurs when capacity has already been exceeded by manager/admin registrations and a self-enrolled user withdraws, which initiates auto-enrollment of self-waitlisted users and results in over-enrollment.
Resolution
- A code fix is planned; refer to the product release information indicating inclusion in the 2H 2026 release.
- For already impacted scheduled offerings, contact support to request a data correction script to align enrollments and waitlist counts, if required.
- As a temporary mitigation, avoid exceeding maximum capacity through manager/admin registrations; monitor classes where self-enrolled users withdraw to ensure waitlist auto-enrollment does not overshoot capacity.
- After the environment is updated to the release containing the fix, verify that new scheduled offerings no longer exceed maximum enrolments when users withdraw from class.
