3751182 - RF putaway uom change does not recalculate quantity and prevents partial putaway via split - S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• During RF putaway, changing the unit of measure (uom) does not recalculate the task quantity to the corresponding number of boxes/pieces.
• Example: a task created as 1 outerbox (equals 24 pieces) changed to innerbox (4 pieces) allows receiving only 1 innerbox instead of 6 innerboxes.
• It is not possible to split the quantity to receive a subset (for example, 2 innerboxes) and continue later with the remaining quantity.
• After confirming 1 innerbox, the system confirms the full warehouse task, although only part of the quantity was put away; the remainder cannot be received without creating new tasks.
• Expected behavior: after uom change, the quantity is recalculated (for example, 1 outerbox -> 6 innerboxes) and partial putaway via split is possible.

 SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create an inbound delivery and a putaway warehouse task for a material with multiple uoms (for example, piece, innerbox, outerbox). Ensure the task is in outerbox uom (for example, 1 outerbox = 24 pieces).
2. On the RF device, navigate to putaway confirmation for the warehouse task.
3. Press the UoM change function (UoMChg) and switch from outerbox to a smaller uom (for example, innerbox or pieces).
4. Observe that the quantity remains 1 in the new uom and cannot be split into multiple handling units (for example, cannot change to 2 innerboxes while deferring the remainder).
5. Confirming 1 innerbox results in the entire task being confirmed instead of a partial confirmation.

Using the RF UoM change function (UoMChg) only changes the displayed uom and does not change the stock-specific uom or recalculate the actual quantity; therefore, splitting/partial confirmation is not enabled through this path.

1. In the RF putaway confirmation screen, press the Excetp (Exception) button.
2. Choose option 1. Change Stock-Specific Unit of Measure.
3. Press Chng to change the uom and adjust the Actual Quantity to the required amount for the new uom.
4. Proceed with confirmation to post the intended partial putaway. Repeat as needed for remaining quantities.
