Symptom
User Logon Activity Report Odata returns last 30 days data only, filters for older date ranges return no results.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer core applications
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Business Analytics work center.
- Open the Design Reports view and select the User Logon Activity report.
- Choose Build OData Query.
- Select required fields and set a Logon date field filter for an older date range (for example, a past month beyond the last 30 days).
- Run the OData query and observe that only the last 30 days are returned and older dates return no records.
Cause
The Logon date variable in the standard User Logon Activity report is configured as a fixed value selection for the last 30 days, and OData respects this initial selection, excluding older dates.
Resolution
- Create a copy of the standard User Logon Activity report.
- In the copy, open the variable settings (step 5) and change the Logon date variable from a fixed/interval setting for the last 30 days to Any selection; remove any fixed last-30-days restriction.
- Save the copied report.
- Use Build OData Query on the copied report, select required fields, and define the Logon date filter for the desired historical range.
- Execute the OData query; historical data beyond the last 30 days should now be returned.
