Symptom
System throws dump when releasing 3PL Outbound Delivery created using webservice with origin Service Order.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Third Party Logistics work center.
- Go to Outbound Deliveries view.
- Search for the Outbound delivery DEF created using webservice.
- Choose Release.
- System throws dump.
(DEF represents Outbound delivery ID)
Cause
- Based on the current system design, creating a Service Order–based 3PL Outbound Delivery through web service is not supported.
- Because of this limitation, system throws dump when releasing 3PL Outbound Delivery created from Service Order.
Resolution
Create the Outbound Delivery directly through UI, as this is the supported process under the current design.
To create an Outbound Delivery from the UI follow the below steps:
- Go to Third Party Logistics work center.
- Go to 3PL Requests view.
- Search and select the 3PL request ABC with origin Service Order.
- Select New Outbound Delivery.
(ABC represents 3PL Request ID)
