3751628 - Provisioning Access permissions are removed from permissions role after 1H2026 Preview Release - SuccessFactors HCM Core 2605

• After the 1H2026 upgrade, the Permissions “View Provisioning Access” and “Control Provisioning Access” became disabled/removed from some permission roles.
• Change Audit Reports show these permissions were removed by v4admin during the preview release upgrade.

1. Go to Manage Permission Roles.
2. Open an affected permission role.
3. Review the permissions and observe that “View Provisioning Access” and “Control Provisioning Access” are not enabled or are missing.
4. Optionally, generate and review the RBP Role Change Audit report to see the removal recorded at the time of the release migration by v4admin.

  During the 1H2026 preview release cycle, our engineering team identified an issue with the permission type associated with Manage Provisioning Access.

  While the relevant permissions were configured correctly during release, the two permissions—View Provisioning Access and Control Provisioning Access—were not populated in the RBP model. As a result, these permissions were treated as invalid and automatically removed when roles were saved, which occurred during other permission migration processes.

  Specifically, roles containing View Provisioning Access or Control Provisioning Access (or both) functioned normally when no other migrated permissions were present in the same role. However, when other permission migrations affected roles that also contained these provisioning permissions, the provisioning permissions were incorrectly flagged as invalid and removed from the role.

  Consequently, View Provisioning Access and Control Provisioning Access have been removed from the such affected permission roles.

Our engineering team has identified the root cause. A patch is scheduled for May 12th to prevent this issue from recurring in the production environment. 

As a temporary workaround for the Preview Environment, customers will need to manually add the two provisioning permissions to their existing roles.
