3751738 - Event reason transport fails in Configuration Transport Center with "an internal error has occurred" - SAP SuccessFactors Platform

• Export fails when transporting Event Reason objects in the Configuration Transport Center.
• Transport request status shows EXPORT_FAILED and the export bundle id may be null.
• Error message: "An internal error occurred. Please contact Technical Support to troubleshoot the issue."

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Navigate to Configuration Transport Center in Configuration Center.
2. Create or open a transport bundle and add Event Reason objects to the bundle. 
3. Navigation for the affected items:  Platform > Organizational Setup > Manage Org Entities > Legacy Foundation Object Data > Event Reason 
4. Start the transport from the source to the target environment.
5. Observe that the process fails during the export step with the internal error, and the report shows status EXPORT_FAILED.

• After the introduction of a new field in EventReasonModel, Event Reason transport exports started failing.
• The current Event Reason transport relies on the EC Reporting tool for export, which does not support the newly added field.
• As a result, the new field is not supported in the current transport implementation, leading to export failure.

This is expected to happen in Production as well once the release is deployed.

As per the current plan, there is a corrective patch underway.

The fix is expected to be available on:

• • Preview: May 26

  • Production: May 28

1. After the update is applied, rerun the export of the Event Reason objects in the Configuration Transport Center.
2. If the export still fails after updating, collect the transport request details and error file and contact SAP support for further analysis.
