3751850 - Discrepancy in group currency postings between GL accounts with 'only balances in local currency' set - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Two GL accounts have "Only balances in local currency" set to Yes and share the same field status group.
• One GL account shows postings in group currency, while another GL account shows no postings in group currency.
• Discrepancy is visible when displaying GL line items or account balances.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Display line items in General Ledger or display account balances.
2. Compare accounts that share the same field status where "Only balances in local currency" is set to Yes.
3. Observe that one account shows amounts in group currency while another shows none for comparable postings.

Material Ledger is active, and for certain materials involved in the postings, the material master’s group currency valuation is zero or not maintained. As a result, Material Ledger does not create group currency postings for those materials, leading to missing amounts in group currency on the affected GL account.

1. Confirm that Material Ledger is active for the affected company code(s).
2. Open the material in Display/Change Material (MM03/MM02).
3. Review the accounting/valuation settings relevant to Material Ledger and verify the group currency valuation fields.
4. If the group currency valuation is zero or unmaintained for the material, maintain the appropriate group currency values per the organization’s configuration.
5. Post a test transaction for the corrected material and verify that group currency postings are now created.
