3751858 - Case Topic Analyzer Training Shows "training error"

Symptom

In the Case Topic Analyzer scenario, some scenarios reach 100% but show the status "Training Error."

Environment

  • SAP Service Cloud Version 2
  • Machine Learning for SAP Sales/Service Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to system settings > Narrow AI > Case Topic Analyzer.
  2. Create a new model and click on train.
  3. After some time click on get status.
  4. See that model training has failed.

Cause

The cases used for training the model do not have sufficient content in the Description field. Only a very small number of cases have descriptions longer than 10 characters, while successful training requires a minimum of 200 such cases per case type.

Resolution

  1. Ensure that each relevant case type has at least 200 cases with a meaningful Description (length greater than 10 characters).
  2. Add or update case records to include clear, informative descriptions so they can be used as training data.
  3. Launch a new training run for the Case Topic Analyzer scenario after sufficient data quality and volume are in place.
  4. Monitor training progress and confirm the status completes without error.
