3752001 - Automated deletion of future-dated Job and Compensation Information records after employment termination

• Future-dated Job Information records are deleted after termination, but future-dated position changes that were synced from Job Information remain in Position Management.
• Future-dated Job Information records created after a termination action has already been saved are not removed by the automated deletion feature.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Create future-dated Job Information changes.
2. Job Information to Position sync will create corresponding future-dated in Position.
3. Terminate the employment with an effective date before the future-dated Job Information record.
4. Observe that the future-dated Job Information record is deleted, while the corresponding future-dated Position changes remain.
5. Create a new future-dated Job (or Compensation) record after the termination exists and observe that it is not auto-deleted.

• By design, the “Automated Deletion of Future-Dated Records After Termination” feature only deletes future-dated Job Information records; it does not delete Position records or position changes created by Job Info to Position sync.
• The automated deletion is initiated when the termination is recorded. Future-dated Job/Comp records created after the termination exists are not considered for automated deletion.

1. This is expected behavior: automated deletion after termination does not remove Position records or position changes created via Job Info to Position sync in Position itself.
2. If position data should not persist, remove or adjust the future-dated Position records manually according to business requirements.
3. For Job/Comp auto-deletion, ensure the relevant event reason has “Delete Future-Dated Records After Termination” set to Yes.
4. If you want future-dated Job/Comp records to be removed automatically, create those records before recording the termination so they are in scope for automated deletion.
5. When making data changes on a terminated employment, be aware the system will allow saving but will not auto-delete newly added future-dated Job/Comp records.
