3752069 - Error Message "Source of Supply Data Missing for Production Model ID ABC" During Production Model Migration

System displays the error message "Source of supply data missing for production model ID ABC" during the migration of production models.

(ABC represents is Production Model ID)

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center
2. Go to Overview view
3. Select activities from dropdown and Search for Migration of Production Models.
4. Choose Migrate production models using the migration tool
5. Upload the attached XML file.
6. Choose Actions and Select Edit.
7. System throws the errors during the simulate import stage. 
   "Source of supply data missing for production model ID ABC"

The error occurs because one or more input products in the corresponding production Bills of Material are maintained with a quantity of zero. 

To resolve the issue, perform one of the following actions:

• Remove the unnecessary input product, or
• Maintain a valid (non-zero) quantity for the input product in BoM.

To update the quantity of the affected input product, follow the below steps:

1. Go to Planning and Production Master Data work center.
2. Go to Production Bills of Material view.
3. Search for the relevant BoM ID
4. Choose Edit.
5. Go to the Input Products tab.
6. Create a new Engineering Change Order (ECO).
7. Identify the line item with zero quantity.
8. Update the quantity from 0 to the required value
9. Choose Save
10. Choose ECO and select Complete
11. Go to General and Variants tab
12. Perform Check Consistency 
13. Choose Save.
