Symptom
The service endpoint "TimeAndLabourManagementTimeAccountInformationRequestingIn" is not visible or accessible in the Service Explorer. The endpoint cannot be selected while creating or maintaining Communication Arrangements. As a result, synchronization of employee time account balances with external time recording systems cannot be performed.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Open Service Explorer and search for the endpoint "TimeAndLabourManagementTimeAccountInformationRequestingIn".
- Observe that the endpoint is not listed and cannot be selected for integration.
Cause
The required scoping question for external time recording terminal integration is not activated in Business Configuration, which prevents the service endpoint from being available.
Resolution
- Go to Business Configuration Work center
- Go to Implementation Project View
- Open the active Implementation Project
- Click on Edit Project Scope.
- Navigate to:
Human Resources ->Time and Labour Management ->Time Recording, Time Accounts - Under Questions, navigate to:
Human Resources -> Time and Labour Management -> Time Recording
Enable the following scoping question:
"Do you want to integrate time recording terminals?" - Save and finish the scoping changes.
- Go to Communication Arrangements.
- Create or update the relevant Communication Arrangement. Verify that the service endpoint:
"TimeAndLabourManagementTimeAccountInformationRequestingIn" is now visible and available in the Service Explorer.
