3752135 - Labels are Not being generated in the expected sequence during the printing process

Symptom

Labels are not being printed in the expected sequence during the printing process, resulting in labels appearing out of order.

Environment

 SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Inbound Logistics work center.
  2. Go to Task Control
  3. Choose the relevant Warehouse Task.
  4. Choose New Labels
  5. Choose Save and select Print All Labels.
  6. Go to Application and User Management work center
  7. Go to Print Queues view
  8. Select the relevant Queue ID 
  9. Choose Edit
  10. It is identified that the sequence of generated Labels are not maintained.

Cause

Following the implementation of version 2602, automatic sequential label printing is no longer supported by the current system functionality

Resolution

As a workaround follow the below steps for sequential label printing :

  1. Go to Application and User Management work center
  2. Go to Print Queues view
  3. Select the relevant Queue ID 
  4. Choose Edit
  5. Select the header column: Document Name 
  6. Choose Sort Ascending order or Sort Descending order
