• Issue storage location is maintained in the production version of the assembly.
• When creating a production order, the issue storage location is not proposed for the components.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Maintain a default issue storage location in the production version of the assembly.
2. Create a production order for the assembly.
3. Open the components list of the order and check the issue storage location proposal.
4. Observe that the issue storage location from the production version is not proposed for the components.

• In SSCUI 102373 (Define MRP Group), the issue storage location determination strategy is set to a value (for example, Strategy 1 or blank) that only checks the component’s material data and does not consider the production version of the assembly.
• As a result, the system does not take the default issue storage location from the production version into account when proposing the component issue storage location.

1. Open SSCUI 102373 (Define MRP Group) and locate the MRP group used by the assembly.
2. Set the issue storage location determination strategy to a value that considers the production version (for example, Strategy 2, or a strategy that includes Strategy 2 in its sequence).
3. Ensure the same MRP group is assigned in the material data of the assembly so the configuration is applied.
4. Ensure the relevant issue storage location data exists for the component’s material .
5. Create a new production order  and verify that the issue storage location is now proposed for the components according to the selected strategy.
