3752421 - Newly created user not visible in Enhanced People Search - SAP SuccessFactors Platform

• Unable to find the newly created user in the People Search after a successful creation via the UI or basic import.
• The user is not returned in people search when using name or other searchable fields.
• The issue occurs shortly after the user is created.
• No error message is displayed.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Create a user through Basic Import or via other UI tools.
2. Use People Search to look up the newly created user.
3. Attempt to search using name or other searchable fields and observe that no results are returned.

• Search index (Elasticsearch) refresh/rebuild delay: the company index had not completed when the search was performed.
• Expected delay due to Role-Based Permission (RBP) target population cache and 1H2026 release background feature login-time cache warm-up: newly created users may not appear until the cache expires (up to 30 minutes).

1. Verify that the user was imported and is active using admin tools (for example, manage login accounts) or by reviewing an employee export.
2. Allow up to 30 minutes for the new user to become searchable due to RBP target population cache
3. If immediate visibility is required as a workaround, you may log out and log back in to refresh the cache and re-test.
4. If the user still does not appear after cache expiry and index completion, contact support to review search indexing logs
5. Do not run a Rebuild Company Index for each new user as a standard practice; delta indexing updates the index automatically once the cache refreshes.
