3752472 - Error received when attempting to change standard EP field in EP Portlet directly when EC is enabled

When EC is enabled on your instance; an error is received when trying to change standard EP fields in EP Portlets. Even if the employee only has EP data and no EC data.

Please note that behavior can be sporadic and not happen for all employees.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Make sure you have EC enabled.
2. Look for an employee that ONLY has EP standard data (No EC data yet like no job information and no personal information etc).
3. Go into profile of this employee and choose to edit EP portlet.
4. Change a value of one of the standard fields and click save.
5. An error is received: "Changes to your data cannot be saved"

When EC is enabled on your instance; directly making changes to EP data in UI is not supported.

When EC is enabled on your instance; make sure to update your EP data only by doing basic import or by third party API integration.
