Symptom
When trying to plan only with 2 decimals but the system puts several decimals in planning data.
For example, if I enter 450.12, the system puts 450.11999998.
Environment
SAP Analytics Cloud
Reproducing the Issue
1. Enter data with 2 decimal places
2. Publish the story
3. The system returns the data with 7 decimal places
Cause
The behavior is by design.
When using a classic model and only has the account dimension but no measures then it is not possible to change the internal representation. The model will always store data with 7 decimal places.
Resolution
To change this behavior, the model would need to be converted to a measure-based model. You may still keep the Account dimension in the model. Once at least one measure configured with two decimal places is added, the internal data representation will automatically switch to two decimal places.
