3752538 - Not Able to Create/Select New Rule for Determining the Warranty Start Date

When trying to maintain warranty master data, not able to select another rule for determining warranty start date.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Service Entitlements work center.
2. Select the Warranties View.
3. Click on New.
4. In the new warranty document, check the field “Warranty Start”: only “STND - Standard Warranty Start-End Date Calcul.” is available, and  there are no other option to select different rule.

Currently there is no fine-tuning activity in the Business ByDesign system to maintain rules related to the warranty start date.

This is the current system behavior. However we can still influence the warranty start date calculation, kindly refer the KBA 2992405 - How to set Warranty Start Date in Registered Product.
