3752638 - Auto Delegation creation notification not sent; update/cancel notifications delivered - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Notification while creating auto delegation object is not sent. While updating/cancelling auto delegation, notification is delivered properly. Email template keys involved: ECT_HRIS_AUTO_DELEGATE_REQUEST_EMAIL_SUBJECT, ECT_HRIS_AUTO_DELEGATE_REQUEST_EMAIL_BODY_HP4.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to Home and select Delegate Workflow.
2. Create the delegation: enter start date, end date, and select the delegatee.
3. Save. Observe that no notification is received for the initial creation.
4. Edit the same delegation (for example, change the end date) and save. Observe that the notification is delivered.

When an auto delegate group exists in the system, the initial creation notification for the Auto Delegate object is not sent, while change/cancel notifications are sent. This is an identified inconsistency.

Engineering has confirmed the fix for 2H2026 release. 

As a temporary workaround, open the created Auto Delegate entry, make a minor change (for example, adjust the end date), and save to initiate the notification.
