3752668 - Configure Dynamic Form Content Business Rule: Opening Performance Form Does Not Save Changes

Symptom

The Configure Dynamic Form Content business rule works correctly during performance form editing, but the changes are not retained when the form is reopened.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into SuccessFactors
  2. Create a Configure Dynamic Form Content business rule
  3. Add business rule to a trigger in Assign Rules in Talent
  4. Open the form and make changes which trigger the business rule > Select either Save or Save and Close
  5. Open the form and the changes made previously were not saved

Cause

The business rule is not assigned to all required triggers

Resolution

To ensure the Configure Dynamic Form Content business rule logic reflects correctly when a form is opened, rules must be assigned to multiple triggers. The required trigger combinations are as follows:

  • If the rule uses the Field Change trigger, it must also be assigned to both the Form Saving and Form Opening triggers.
  • If the rule uses only the Form Saving trigger, it must also be assigned to the Form Opening trigger.
