The mediadeletions table has grown to a size where the standard purgeDeletedFilesCronJob cannot clear the backlog within a reasonable timeframe. Running the multi-threaded cleanup script described in KBA 3487492 - How to expedite the process of purging mediadeletions table directly from the HAC Scripting Console addresses throughput but introduces operational constraints: the script runs outside the CronJob framework, cannot be stopped through HAC Monitoring, and when executed from the Backoffice HAC endpoint, is susceptible to out-of-memory failures caused by insufficient heap capacity on Backoffice pods.
