3752960 - Budget section is displayed in Mass Action despite Budget being disabled - Compensation

Symptom

The Budget section appears in the Mass Action preview even when Budget is not enabled in display settings or the user lacks permission to access the Budget tab.

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation

Reproducing the Issue

Scenario 1:

  1. Go to the template in Compensation Home
  2. On the settings dropdown go to Display Settings
  3. Disable Include Budget
  4. Budget is still configured in Budget page under Plan Details dropdown
  5. Launch the form and open it in Executive Review
  6. Budget tab is not visible
  7. Open Mass action and add any value to any field
  8. Click on Preview > Budget section is visible

Scenario 2:

  1. Go to the template in Compensation Home
  2. On the settings dropdown go to Display Settings
  3. Disable Include Budget
  4. Budget is not configured in Budget page under Plan Details dropdown
  5. Launch the form and open it in Executive Review
  6. Budget tab is not visible
  7. Open Mass action and add any value to any field
  8. Click on Preview > Budget section is visible but empty

Scenario 3:

  1. Go to the template in Compensation Home
  2. On the settings dropdown go to Display Settings
  3. Make sure Include Budget is enabled
  4. Budget is configured in Budget page under Plan Details dropdown
  5. FBP is enabled for the template
  6. Launch the form
  7. Open Executive Review while logged in as an user with no Field Based Permission to the fields that budget is based on
  8. Budget tab will not be visible for that user
  9. Open Mass action and add any value to any field
  10. Click on Preview > Budget section is visible

Cause

This is a known issue. 

Resolution

This issue is currently being investigated by engineering. Please bookmark this KBA and monitor it for updates on fix and timeline.
