3753175 - Tax Code Is Not Editable in Customer Contract

The Tax Code and Tax Region fields become read-only in the Customer Contract after the contract is created or updated from a Sales Quote.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the New Business work center.
2. Select the Sales Quote view.
3. From the dropdown, select All Quotes.
4. Search for the Sales Quote ID ABC (ABC indicates the Sales Quote ID).
5. Click Edit and then View All.
6. Navigate to the Items tab and the Taxes subtab.
7. In the Quote for Contract DEF and Sales Quote ABC (DEF indicates the Quote for Contract), the Tax Code and Tax Region fields are not editable.

Scenario 1: Quote for Contract

Quote for Contract DEF status is Completed.
Follow-up Contract XYZ (XYZ indicates the Contract created from the Quote) status is In Preparation.
Open the XYZ contract from the Sales Order Work Center.
Navigate to the Items tab and Taxes subtab.
The Tax Code and Tax Region fields are not editable.

This is the current system behavior.

Scenario 2: Contract with no follow-up document

If Contract status is "In Preparation", Tax Code and Tax Region are editable.
If Contract status is "In Process", Tax Code and Tax Region are editable.
If Contract status is "Completed", system does not allow editing of Tax Code and Tax Region.
