3753290 - Configuring Proxy Settings for Cloud License Server connection - Tricentis

Symptom

  • This article explains how you configure proxy settings in appsettings.json so that Tosca Server 2024.1 and later can connect to the Cloud License Server. You update the configuration file and restart the License Administration service.
  • When you attempt to add the Cloud License Server in the Tosca License Administration interface, the operation may fail if your organisation uses a proxy for outbound internet access. Tosca License Administration does not use a proxy by default. If your machine or network routes internet traffic through a proxy, the application cannot reach the Cloud License Server until you configure proxy settings manually.

    The interface displays the following error message when the connection attempt fails:
    "Failed to login: There was no endpoint listening at https://license.tricentis.com/CloudAccess/ that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details."
