3753329 - Copying a story page with SAP Datasphere widgets to another story causes error in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Copying a page that contains widgets based on SAP Datasphere models from one story to another corrupts the page in the new story.
• The copied page’s table widgets display the error: “The resource doesn’t exist or you don’t have the correct permissions.”
• The issue may only appear after making a small edit (for example, resizing a widget) and saving the new story.

1. In SAP Analytics Cloud, create a story with a widget based on an SAP Datasphere model.
2. Copy the page that contains widgets based on a SAP Datasphere model.
3. Create a new story and paste the copied page.
4. Save and close the new story.
5. Reopen the new story and navigate to the pasted page.
6. If the page initially works, switch to Edit mode, make a minor change (for example, resize a widget), save, close, and reopen the story.
7. Observe that the widget on the pasted page shows: “The resource doesn’t exist or you don’t have the correct permissions.”
