3753352 - SAP Analytics Cloud Classic Account Model is missing in Select Data Source of Analysis for Office

Symptom

SAC Classic Account Model is not visible when trying insert a data source from SAC tenant in AO. Also SAC stories cannot access or find the same model. However, the same model can be found under folder path: Files > System >Common >Public in SAC.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud
  • SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office

Reproducing the Issue

  • Go to Analysis > Insert data source and access SAC tenant from AO.
  • Search the SAC Classic Account Model in Select data source dialogue of AO, no result.
  • However the same model can be found under folder path: Files > System >Common >Public in SAC.
  • The same model can not be found in new SAC story.

Cause

The models can be found under the folder path Files > System > Common > Public in SAC because that the user has been assigned the BI Admin role. To use models in AO or in SAC stories, the models should be saved under "My Files" or the subfolder of "My Files".

Resolution

Share the models or the folders containing the models to the user who wants to use the models in SAC stories or in AO. Afterwards, the models will be displayed in "My Files" of the user. Follow the stesp as bellow:
