3753509 - People Profile New Hire Indicator: Edit/View Behavior Before MPH Completion - Onboarding

Switch is enabled: Configure Latest People Profile -> General Settings -> 'Enable the latest editing and History UI for employee central HRIS entities on full profile'. Admin user has the Employee MSS View and Edit permission. An onboarding candidate has NOT completed MPH, however some portlets on the onboardee's profile are editable. 

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Enable the latest people profile and turn on “enable the latest editing and history UI for employee central HRIS entities on full profile”.
2. Ensure a user has Employment Details MSS permissions and role-based permissions (RBP) that include edit access for external users.
3. Open an onboardee’s profile who has not completed manage pending hires (MPH).
4. Observe that some sections remain editable while personal info, job info, and compensation info honor view-only behavior; the All Actions/History icons may be hidden.
5. Expected behaviour with this switch enabled is that all portlet remain un-editable until the MPH steps is completed for the candidate, regardless of other permissions.

• The enhanced hiring status indicator limits edit-icon hiding to three sections (Personal Info, Job Info, Compensation Info). Other profile sections follow RBP and may remain editable if roles grant edit access to external users.
• If the latest people profile (PPX) and the EC editing/history switch are not enabled, the feature does not apply.
• Missing “Employee data > Employment details MSS > View” permission can lead to inconsistent indicator information text.

Engineers are aware of this behaviour and are updating the documentation to reflect.
