3753512 - onchange rule for job information position does not run when reselecting same position on Latest People Profile - 1H 2026

Symptom

After enabling “Enable Latest Editing UI and History UI for Employee Central HRIS elements” in Configure Latest People Profile, the onChange business rule on Job Information > Position does not run when the user reselects the same position value.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: People Profile - Full Profile

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In Configure Latest People Profile, enable “Enable Latest Editing UI and History UI for Employee Central HRIS elements”.
  2. Open a user’s profile and navigate to Job Information.
  3. Start Edit for Job Information.
  4. Reselect the Position field with the same current value.
  5. Observe that the onChange business rule mapped to Position does not run and dependent fields from Position are not refreshed.

Resolution

This is expected behavior for Latest People Profile.
In latest people profile the system does not consider re-selecting the value as a change hence onchange rules will not trigger twice.
