3753730 - Interpretation algorithm 421/ processing instruction 011 does not identify open items in Reprocess Bank Statement Items App - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The two below errors happen when interpretation algorithm 421/ processing instruction 011 being used and the system does not automatically allocate open items in Reprocess Bank Statement Items App.

• Error 1: "The range for the reference document number is missing" (Message no FAR_OPEN_ITEM_FINDER014).
• Error 2: "There is no reference document number within the range" (Message no FAR_OPEN_ITEM_FINDER018).

1. Via Manage Bank Statement/ Reprocess Bank Statement Items App, process a bank statement item using interpretation algorithm 421 or a processing rule with the processing instruction 011.
2. Observe that the process bank statement item was not completed.
3. Check log section in Reprocess Bank Statement Items App and notice that one of the two errors happen.

• Error 1: "The range for the reference document number is missing" (Message no FAR_OPEN_ITEM_FINDER014).

• Error 2: "There is no reference document number within the range" (Message no FAR_OPEN_ITEM_FINDER018).

In case interpretation algorithm 421 or a processing rule with the processing instruction 011 is used, it is mandatory that the number range is maintained for the reference number in Configuration Activity 103635 - Define Parameter Sets. The detailed root cause of each error is as below:

• For error 1, the number range has not been defined for the reference number.

• For error 2, the reference number in the memo line of the bank statement item falls out of the number range maintained.

• Maintain the number range for the reference number in Configuration Activity 103635 - Define Parameter Sets.
• Make sure that the reference value entered in the memo line of the bank statement item falls within the configured number range.
