3753768 - Missing Competencies and Skills Created via API

After creating competencies and skills via API, they are not displaying within Job Profile Builder.

SAP SuccessFactors Job Profile Builder

1. Log into SuccessFactors
2. In the global search, type Manage Job Profiles
3. Select a job profile
4. Select a job family, role, or position > Next
5. Scroll down to the competencies/skills sections and notice the sections are blank

• The JDM to JPB migration has not been completed
• Competencies and skills were mapped only to the job profile template sections, but not the role

The JDM to JPB migration has not been completed

Some customers have the Job Profile Builder appearance but the system framework is still Job Description Manager. Data becomes fragmented between frameworks causing various discrepancies. This situation applies when the following criteria is met:

• You can locate Manage Job Profile Builder in global search or Admin Center, and
• You do not see a job named JDM Old to New Sync in Scheduled Job Manager, or you have a check tool error for Job Profile Builder migration successful. (JPBEnabledAndMigrationCheck) 

A Certified Partner engagement is required to complete the migration and resolve discrepancies. If you do not have a Certified Partner, you can look for one using 2149831 - SAP Professional Services / SAP Certified Partner / SAP Account Management Team [SuccessFactors Cloud].

Competencies and skills were mapped only to the job profile template sections, but not the role

Without role-to-competency/skill mappings, Manage Job Profiles will not display the competencies and skills. 

Step 1: Verify the mapping

1. Log into SuccessFactors
2. In the global search, type Manage Data
3. In the first dropdown, select Role
4. In the second dropdown, select a sample role
5. When the mappings are missing, it will look like below:
   
   

Step 2: Update APIs for Mapping

You can review SAP SuccessFactors API Reference Guide (OData V2) - RoleEntity to add the mapping entries to the API.
