3753780 - oracle jdbc secure connection fails in idt when ssl_server_cert_dn contains commas (io error: mismatch with the server cert dn) – semantic layer

Symptom

  • Testing a JDBC connection to an Oracle database in Information Design Tool (IDT) fails.
  • Error returned: "IO Error: Mismatch with the server cert DN."
  • The failure occurs when setting the connection property oracle.net.ssl_server_cert_dn with a Distinguished Name (DN) that includes commas; the commas are interpreted as property separators, causing a DN mismatch.
