3753785 - Parallel Line merge not possible due to error "Customer group &1 is used in customer or business documents "

When starting a merge from Parallel Line to the Main Line, the following errors are stopping the merge:

• Customer group &1 is used in customer or business documents 
• Error raised in View/Table Event CHECK_BEFORE_DELE_GROUP
• Activation Of customizing Object V_T151 With errors 
• Activation Of BC Set 2& ended with errors 
• Activation ended with errors

When customer groups deleted in the Parallel Line are still referenced by customer master data or business documents in the Main Line or subsequent systems, the activation raises event CHECK_BEFORE_DELE_GROUP and stops the merge to prevent inconsistencies (e.g., references to non-existing objects).

Before deleting the Customer Groups in the Parallel Line and merging into the main line, make sure no customer or documents use the customer groups that are going to be deleted.

Alternatively, it's possible to change the customer group's name to 'DO NOT USE' or similar instead of deleting them in the Parallel Line. These way, the groups will not be used again but the past data remains untouched.
