3753807 - SAP System application server fails to connect with error : gui connection fails; r3trans rc=0012/rc=-10909/rcSQL=-10104, hdbuserstore 91013 (missing secure store key default)

Symptom

  • The system is completely down and users cannot log in or run transactions.
  • GUI error: "Connection to partner broken" (partner hostname redacted).
  • r3trans -d error: "Return Code: 0012; Connect to database failed; rc=-10909; rcSQL=-10104; no connection data found for key DEFAULT in HANA secure store".
  • hdbuserstore list error: "Error 91013" on both HANA host and application server nodes.
