Story variable prompt values are not reflected in a widget in SAC

SAP Analytics Cloud 2026.2.16

1. Login to SAC
2. Open a story
3. Set the story variable prompt values
4. Click OK

Notice : The selected story variable prompt values are not applied to the widget.

A widget-level variable prompt is configured for the affected widget (for example, a table). This setting overrides the story-level variable prompt values for that widget.

1. Open the story in edit mode.
2. For the affected widget, open More Actions and choose Variables.  
3. Select Use Story Variables.
4. Click Set to apply the selection.
5. Save the story and verify that existing widgets now respect the story prompt.
