3754227 - Unable to Open Manage Tax Items from Run Statutory Reports application due to activity is outdated in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

While opening the 'Manage Tax Items' activity from the 'Run Statutory Reports' application, the following error message is displayed: 'Activity is outdated. Navigation to the activity is not allowed'.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Navigate to 'Run Statutory Reports' application.
2. Go to 'Activities & Phases'.
3. Select 'Manage Tax Items'.
4. Observe the error 'Activity is outdated, Navigation to the activity is not allowed'.

Document and Reporting Compliance features are not activated for the relevant country/region, causing the 'Manage Tax Items' activity to be marked as outdated.

1. Make sure scope item '5XU' is activated.
2. Open SSCUI 105518 'Activate Document and Reporting Compliance Features'.
3. Choose 'New Entries'.
4. Select the 'All Countries/Regions' checkbox to include all countries/regions or select the specific country/region key for which you want to activate the features.
5. Save entries.

Note: If you see the error "No authorization to start the UI" for SSCUI 105518, assign the business catalog SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_GLO_GCO_PC to the user.
