A revenue reclassification has been performed, resulting in amounts being displayed in the DRED section of the DIAN 1007 report.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

1. Perform the Revenue reclassification.
2. Run Statutory Reports app.
3. Execute the report Colombia DIAN - Format 1007 - CO_DIAN_1007.
4. Observe the DRED field showing an amount sourced from a revenue reclassification posting.

Manual FI Reclassifications for Revenue Adjustments

• These postings have a direct impact on revenue G/L accounts.
  
  
• Reclassifications for Revenue Adjustments may cause the system (e.g., MAGNITIC MEDIA or fiscal reporting) to interpret such amounts as returns, rebates, or discounts, even when this is not their actual business purpose. Resulting in inconsistencies across financial and statutory reports.
  
  
• Direct reclassifications on revenue accounts are not considered best practice, as they can distort both reporting and derived attributes, including:
  • Customer (Business Partner);
  • VAT / Tax reporting;
  • Withholding taxes;
  • Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) characteristics;
  • Profit Center assignments.

If the objective is to correct internal inconsistencies, such as:

• Incorrect Profit Center;
• Incorrect G/L Account assignment;
• Incorrect Tax Code;

Then, if the adjustment is purely internal, it should be posted using a dedicated/special document type, ensuring that it:

• Does not impact subledger accounting (customers/vendors)
• Does not affect VAT or tax reporting
• Does not create statutory or fiscal obligations

Additionally, such postings should be explicitly excluded from Format 1007 reporting via configuration. It is important to note that Format 1007 only supports exclusion criteria based on document type, and does not allow for more granular or rule-based filtering logic.
