3754244 - Create database as replica fails with "source database is already replicating" due to topology entries

Symptom

  • Attempting to create a tenant replica with CREATE DATABASE AS REPLICA OF AT ':' fails.
  • Error: SAP DBTech JDBC: [2]: general error: nameserver failed to process the request; ltt exception: exception 7100010: Database replication error: Source database is already replicating!
  • On the source system, hdbnsutil -sr_state shows mode: none.
  • The source system view M_DATABASE_REPLICAS still lists a previous replica entry with status UNKNOWN.
