3754458 - Approved or Submitted time sheets reverted to To be Submitted status after 1H 2026 release

Symptom

After 1H 2026 release, it is noticed the approved time sheets or submitted (pending approval) time sheets are reverted to To be Submitted status by system automatically.
And in the new To be Submitted time sheets, there is no difference than the old approved/submitted time sheets.

This symptom happens to the time sheets of below patterns,

  • Pattern 1 (Generate Time Sheet job reverts the time sheets to To be Submitted)
    • Time sheets were submitted or approved before the 1H 2026 production release
      and
    • These time sheets become current time sheets as of 1H 2026 production deployment
(Current time sheets refer to the time sheets of an approval period that covers the current day, today.)
  • Pattern 2 (Import Time Sheet job reverts the time sheets to To be Submitted)
    • Time sheets were submitted or approved before the 1H 2026 production release
      and
    • There are failed import actions (via external time data or external allowance) after the 1H 2026 production deployment

Please note, the reason behind above symptom is due to wrong hash code calculation for the time sheets after 1H 2026 release, so deviation than the existing time sheet data was wrongly identified, hence Generate Time Sheet, Import Time Sheet job would revert these submitted / approved time sheets to To be Submitted status.

Our engineers have already deployed an emergency patch, which emergency patch has stopped the wrong hash code calculation, so that the above symptom has been stopped even for time sheets that match the above patterns.

Attention!
Our engineers wanted to directly fix the impacted time sheets with our next planned patch, but considering that some customers have already resubmitted the time sheets manually and moved on with next business flow, while others have not, and customers may have different requirements on how they want to deal with the impacted time sheets, preferring deletion or bulk resubmission, it becomes risky and infeasible to "fix" the time sheets in one pattern via a patch
Hence after rounds of discussion, it is now decided that

  • There will not be further actions on touching the time sheets with our next planned patch, to avoid any unwanted impact on customer time sheet data.
  • If there is requirement of time sheet data fix by SAP, please return the existing customer case or raise a new customer case (if you have not yet raised customer case for this issue) to SAP with your clear statement of how you expect SAP to do exactly. Then our engineering team will work further on with you to get your expected result.

Of course, submitting these time sheets manually or by our Automatic Submission of Time Sheets mechanism is always an option for your consideration.
