3754490 - Picklists fail to load when clicked on drop-downs to Provide Personal Data in Mobile Browser - SuccessFactors Mobile

Symptom

  • Picklists on mobile devices fail to load when clicked. In some cases, multiple clicks are required for the option list to appear, but functionality remains inconsistent.
  • Affected sections like when you want to Provide Personal Data fields include "phone-type," "personInfo → country-of-birth," and custom fields containing picklists.
  • This issue does not happen in the Mobile app and currently observed in the Mobile browsers only.
  • Occurs on mobile devices using Safari and Google Chrome browsers.
  • Issue is seen on android and IOS operating systems.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Mobile

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attempt to load picklist fields such as "phone-type," "personInfo → country-of-birth," and custom fields containing picklists on a mobile device via browser.
  2. Click on the picklist field; observe that the option list does not load.
  3. Repeat clicking multiple times; observe inconsistent behavior where the list may or may not appear.

Resolution

  • Engineering team have confirmed that issue will be patched on 26th May in preview instance and on 28th May Production instance. 


  • Workaround:- By clicking the dropdown arrow issue can be reproducible, but instead when clicked inside the input field then dropdown options can be accessible, We are suggesting that as a workaround for time being.
