3754888 - Cannot Assign User Responsible in Manage Global Hierarchies for Cost Center Header Node and Child Nodes – SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Not able to assign User responsible for cost centers in Manage Global Hierarchies; requirement is to set it on the header/parent node and have it applied to all child nodes.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Manage Global Hierarchies app.
2. Select a cost center hierarchy.
3. Attempt to assign a User responsible at the header/parent node.
4. Observe that there is no option to assign the User responsible at the node level or to cascade it to child cost centers.

The Manage Global Hierarchies app does not provide a function to assign “User responsible” at the header/parent node or to propagate this value to child nodes; this is standard system behavior by design.

1. Use the Manage Cost Center app to assign the Responsible Manager (User responsible) directly on each cost center.
2. In Manage Cost Center, open the target cost center, choose Edit, and set the Responsible Manager field.
3. Save the changes and repeat for other cost centers as needed.
4. Note: Assigning “User responsible” at a hierarchy node and cascading it to child nodes is not supported in Manage Global Hierarchies.
