3755808 - Compensation Statements Audit Feature - Compensation & Variable Pay

Changes to permissions in either RBP or Manage Statements may unintentionally make statements visible to users in the profile. This article explains how to audit which users have accessed the statements.

The audit is run under the Manage General Audit page. For more details on the tool's configuration and requirement, please refer to the guide Managing General Audit.

How to Audit:

1. Go to Manage General Audit
2. Go to Create General Audit Report
3. On the Audit Type select Data Export
   
4. Add a name for the job 
5. Choose the time range for which statements were incorrectly visible to employees
6. Click on Submit --> This will trigger a message that job was triggered. Click on View Results to check the report

Viewing the Results:

1. Go to Scheduled Job Manager
2. On Job Monitor check for Job Type "Generate General Audit Report" and search for the one with the name added on the steps mentioned above
3. Click on View Details --> Download Status
4. It will generate a csv file:
   
5. On the Operator Name it will include the logged in User. In case there is data populated on column Proxy Name, then that is the logged in user and Operator Name will show who the logged in user proxied as to perform the actions.
6. On the Audit Context is where the information about downloading the statements is:
   
7. On the example above, the Operator Name was user sfadmin. So on the first entry for this example above, user sfadmin downloaded the statement for the user itself. But on second and third entry, user downloaded the PDF statement and previewed the HTML version of the statement for user jfoster.
