3755875 - How to go back a step in Mentoring Programs

Symptom

A mentoring program step was advanced to the next phase unintentionally/intentionally.

There is a requirement to revert the program back to the previous step; however, no option is available in the system to move the program backward once it has progressed.

Environment

  • Product: SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development
  • Mentoring

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Mentoring Programs.
  2. Open an active mentoring program.
  3. Advance the program to the next step.
  4. Attempt to revert the program to the previous step.

Result: There is no functionality available to revert the program to a prior step.

Cause

This behavior is due to a current system limitation.
Once a mentoring program progresses to the next step, the system does not support reversing or rolling back to a previous stage.

Resolution

  • Reverting a mentoring program to a previous step is currently not supported in the system.
