3755992 - ldap logon fails for all users with "invalid username or password" when using ldap authentication "

Symptom

  • Error displayed for every ldap user: "Invalid username or password, if your account is under a root other than the default set by the system administrator" while logging to CMC/BI launchpad 
  • Following are the errors observed from CMS HIGH level logs:

    2026 05 17 14:55:34:379|LDAP: LdapQueryForEntries: *QUERY* base: dc=jx2, dc=com, scope: 2, filter: (&(objectclass=user)(samaccountname =agopina1)), attribute: dn objectclass

    2026 05 17 14:55:34:379|LDAP: LdapQueryForEntries: *QUERY* result: 87 took 0 ms

    2026 05 17 14:55:34:379|LDAP: LdapQueryForEntries() Bad filter or DN syntax while searching using filter: (&(objectclass=user)(samaccountname =agopina1))

    2026 05 17 14:55:34:379|SecLdap Error: an error occurred in LdapGetUserEntry().
