3756039 - Internal Memos Imported via Data Workbench or OData Are Created as Portal Memos Instead of Internal Memos

• During the migration from an external system, internal memos imported via Data Workbench are being created as portal memos instead of internal memos.
• The same behavior occurs when creating memos through OData.
• No error messages or error codes are returned.

• SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Navigate to the Data Workbench work center.
2. Select Import, then select Complete Business Object.
3. Select Activity and select Data File.
4. In the import file, enter the Type Code 10011 (internal notes)
5. Upload and import the file.
6. Import is completed.
7. Memo created as a Portal memo despite using the internal note type code.

1. When portal memos are enabled, the system automatically identifies Portal and internal memos. 
2. This memo type field is not editable through the Data Workbench or OData.
3. The type code is editable; it only controls the memo text, not the memo classification.
4. The field cannot be changed externally; memo activities cannot be created or converted into portal memos via OData or DWB. 

This is current and expected system behavior.
