3756123 - IAS emails failing to send via Amazon SES mail server - Caused by: 535 Authentication Credentials Invalid_

Symptom

  • Emails sent by SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS) through Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) mail server are failing with the following error: 

    message="Email could not be sent to <user email> with subject <email subject> Sending the email to the following server failed : email-smtp.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com:587 Caused by: 535 Authentication Credentials Invalid_
