3756160 - Price Field in Sales Quote Not Visible Despite Being Set as Visible in Adaptation Mode

Field 'Price' of a sales quote item product is not visible despite being 'set as visible' in adaptation mode.

SAP Sales Cloud

1. Open the Sales work center.
2. Open the Sales Quotes work center view.
3. Open the sales quote ABC (where ABC is the ID of a sales quote).
4. Go to the Products tab.
5. Price field is not visible.

The document type of sales quote ABC is flagged as 'external pricing' in business configuration fine-tuning activity 'sales quotes' on the 'maintain document types' hyperlink.

The 'Price' field will only be visible for sales quotes of internal document types and if a product item (not text item) has been maintained (and saved) in the system. 

You can achieve some degree of flexibility using external pricing if you follow KBA 2574487 - C4C Pricing Condition is Not Editable after the External Pricing Call (where in external system you flag condition types as manual). Common requirement as seen in SAP Community posts like this.
