3756443 - Welcome Message Card shows extra character when token used in Welcome Message Task contains a comma

• After completing the welcome message task, the manager’s welcome card displays an extra character.
• The behavior occurs only when a token used in the welcome message contains a comma.
• No error messages or error codes are shown.

Example: 

Token JobTitle without special characters in the welcome card for the manager: 

However, when there is a comma in the job title, system is adding a backslash "\" within before the comma within the job title. 

Actual Job Title is "Analyst, Consultant / Worker" but the card shows "Analyst\, Consultant / Worker"

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Configure a welcome message that includes a token whose value contains a comma.
2. Complete the welcome message task.
3. Open or view the manager’s welcome card.
4. Observe that an extra character is present in the card content.

This is a known issue.

Workaround

The only workaround would be to remove the token and resubmit the task.
