Symptom
- Several methodology-defined datatypes such as Amount, Quantity, Ratio, Indicator, Name, etc., are not available in the predefined Logical Data Model (LDM) datatype dropdown in PowerDesigner and need to be entered manually using the “Other” option at the attribute level.
- Inquiry about adding custom logical datatypes to PowerDesigner and the technical implications.
- Concern about the impact of using the "Other" option on future migrations and retaining user-defined attributes during migrations.
